KPFK is a broadcast radio station providing World music, Talk shows, Political news and commentary, interviews and public affairs programming as part of the Pacifica Radio Network, a chain of listener-supported, non-commercial radio stations. Blessed with an enormous transmitter in a prime location, KPFK is the most powerful of the Pacifica stations and indeed is the most powerful public radio station in the Western United States.
