Started in 1947 by returning World War 2 Veterans as a carrier-current station, WRSE has since evolved into a Rock Variety Format Station operating on a FM signal since 1962. Being the only FM receiver in the city of Elmhurst, WRSE is dedicated to serving the Elmhurst community as well as the student body of Elmhurst College. WRSE's music stream is completely student run and is available on-air and online. WRSE also offers a variety of opportunities for students and station alumni involvement as well as hosting open tours of the station for the public.
