Sam Rocks

Music has always played a big role in my life. The first band that captured my imagination was The Beatles. Then I found the Rolling Stones, whose music became an obsession for me and started me on a journey of discovery. Through Mick and the boys I learned about the blues, hard rock, punk, and new wave.

As a teenage boy in the 80’s, I wasn’t a big fan of the music scene since florescent colours and MIDI files weren’t really my thing. That being said, there were a lot of great bands in that era, some of which I appreciate more now than I did back then.

Being immersed in all this great music inspired me to make cassette tapes full of my favourite tunes and pass them around to my friends. I named these tapes Sam Rocks.

Today, since I’m in the Internet business, I have the technology to share the great music I grew up with at my fingertips. That’s why I created an online radio station called – you guessed it – Sam Rocks. What can you expect when you listen to Sam Rocks? All the music that gets your heart pumping and feet moving, including classic rock, hard rock, soul, garage bands, reggae, and alternative. Hope you enjoy it!
